Creating Rocks


Important:

Verify the Rock owners are attendees of the meeting before adding the rocks. If not, please add them to the meeting before the upload. Please click here to learn how to add a user to a Meeting.

Update the Quarter

It is important to keep the quarter start/end dates accurate at the account level. This can be updated by an account admin: Click your name at the top right of Traction Tools > Manage Organization > Advanced Tab > Navigate to the 'Settings' section > update 'Current Quarter'.

Adding Rocks from the Primary Workspace/ Meeting Workspace

  1. Click Workspaces on the top left-hand side of your screen. 
  2. Click either Primary Workspace or Meeting workspace to populate the Rocks tile. 
  3. Click the plus button that is at the top right of a Rock tile (see this article for additional details about tiles: Workspace - Adding and Removing Tiles
  4. In the "Add a Rock" pop up, fill in basic information to create your new Rock (Title, Details, Status, Accountable Owner, Due Date, Rock Type, Attached to Meetings, and Milestones)

Adding Rocks from the Edit Meeting section

  1. Click Meetings in the menu bar
  2. Click on the gear icon (Edit Meeting) button to the right of your meeting
  3. Select Rocks from the Agenda on the left.
  4. Click on the blue plus [+] icon at the bottom of the screen
  5. Use the Add a Rock pop-up to input the rock information (title, owner, status, attached to a meeting, etc).

Note

Please check the box 'Add to V/TO™' to mark as a company Rock. Alternately, if you decide after Rock creation that a Rock should be marked as a company Rock, click the checkbox to the right of your Rock. This will mark it as a Company Rock and add it to your V/TO™.

Uploading Multiple Rocks

  1. Click Meetings in the top menu bar.
  2. Click on the gear icon (Edit Meeting) button to the right of your meeting you would like to edit.
  3. Click Rocks from the menu on the left side of the screen.
  4. If you have a file with all your rocks, click on the Upload Rocks button at the top right corner of the section. Click on where it says ‘No File chosen’, select the .csv file you want to upload, then click Submit and follow the instructions.

  6. 1. Click on the Upload Rocks button at the top right corner of the section
    2. Click on the green button that says ‘Download Template’, fill the template with the information needed and save the changes you made to the file (Save the file in CSV format). 
    3. Back on the Upload Rocks section, click on where it says ‘No File chosen’, select the .csv file you want to upload, then click Submit and follow the instructions.

Optional next steps

  • Add Milestones, notes, or attachments to your Rock - from your Workspace or during a Level 10 Meeting™.
    • Click on the Rock title (on your Workspace) to add details
    • During your L10 meeting, click on a Rock. A notes panel will populate on the right - add notes and milestones here
